FILUIGI'S FOOTBALL INDEX JOURNEY PART 71 A MANCHESTER UNITED STAR PLAYER SWITCH

Posted on 16 October 2020

Hello again! A slower 2 weeks this time round, with some recovery in the market thankfully! With the 2nd part of the deposit bonus upcoming and a feast of match days to come over the next month, I’m sticking to the newer tactic of picking up some players at the more premium end of the market for what I perceive to be ‘value’ prices.

With the dividends these players will hopefully pickup over the next few weeks I’ll be looking to split that amount 50/50 between compounding more premium players and revisiting the lower end of the market for some potential bargains, or even topping up on some of the current holds I have!

My aim is slowly shifting from 100 shares in a player being the minimum to 150 shares, which I hope will turn out to make a significant difference dividend wise over the course of the season (E.G. £42 for winning gold star man as opposed to £28- this applies most to my higher end holds who I expect to be in contention for these type of dividends more often)

DEPOSITED: £90

BOUGHT:

FERNANDES X50

THAUVIN X10

DEPAY X20

TER STEGEN X20

SOLD:

KRAMARIC X100

RASHFORD X60

Only one real trading story from the last fortnight, and that is the reintroduction of Bruno into the portfolio! Over the last year I’ve spent some time holding Fernandes, but never at an ideal time. For the first, I sold him before his transfer to United and subsequent explosion in price, and the second I only had 20 shares in him! This time for me I believe will be the right time, as I still value him at around £9 even with reduced media this season, and his current price is still way off that, making him an affordable ‘value’ premium to me.

I said last blog that I couldn’t find the capital to bring Fernandes in however, I only did through a mistake! I had placed 100 Kramaric into the sell queue to free up some funds, then I changed my mind but forgot to cancel the offer!

At the same time as this Rashford’s price shot up due to his MBE win, which many (myself included) thought was going to supply him with plenty of media dividends (which it seems it hasn’t!)- I took the opportunity to get out of Rashford on a little spike in price and put all the new money straight into Bruno - from one big Man U hold into another.

With not too much else to mention this blog I thought I would show you what my full portfolio looks like again!
