Hello again! A strange week in these strange times, but overall not a whole lot of movement in the portfolio. With my work being closed and me getting paid less than usual the next few weeks will probably be quite stagnant in terms of putting new money in, and I’m not really looking to change too many players around at this point in time, so it’ll be a boring few blogs I’m afraid!
I can really sum up my transactions this week in a single paragraph! I still have 200 shares in Griezmann left, I was just taking advantage of a rumour to shift a few into other players, I’ve managed to achieve 100 shares in Kane, now to do it with Neymar. I’ve also brought Mahrez back into the portfolio amid links to PSG.
At the minute I’m really banking on Neymar leaving PSG this Summer as that will create a void for another star player to fill, and with Mahrez’s proven PB ability in the Premier League he could tear PB up In the French League, especially if he becomes a regular instead of a rotation player there. A few things need to go right for that to happen but if they do the media dividends would be immense too!
With that said, here’s my portfolio now:
And as a special Brucie Bonus, here are my thoughts on the new dividend announcement! I’m very glad that they’re bringing back 5 places for April, and in honesty I reckon that’s going to benefit me a lot more than double dividends for the big hitters. Between my avoidance of Bruno and missing out on the Pogba stories I really haven’t benefitted from double dividends as I haven’t been holding the winners, but with the playing field largened my holds with less notable stories will still have a chance to win me a few dividends. I also think this is a good move for FI as it stops them having to pay insane amounts on Bruno and Sancho winning frequently - I just hope that football miraculously returns in May so we can get back to PB, even if the games are behind closed doors!
